Rohan KC has given his working life to Nepal's tourism, and he carries two licenses that most guides never combine: trekking and cultural touring. To earn the second, he went through the demanding tour-guide curriculum — studying the history, culture, and geography behind every major heritage site until he could tell their stories from memory.
He did not start at the front. Rohan came up the traditional way, as a young assistant trailing veteran guides — learning each route step by step, absorbing the craft through seasons of on-the-job apprenticeship. About three years ago he earned the lead, and now runs his own crew.
His specialty is Nepal's UNESCO World Heritage Sites — the durbar squares, stupas, and temple complexes of the Kathmandu Valley — where his training turns a sightseeing stop into a genuine understanding of why a place matters. On the trail or in the old cities, Rohan is the guide who answers the question behind your question.
